I really need to start writing my chapters for the O'Reilly Mozilla book I'm co-authoring. Looks like CamWorld might suffer because of these commitments and all the work being sent our way from Collab.Net.

Working long hours to get the UI for Scarab done. It's looking pretty good and should be an excellent replaceemnt for Bugzilla, which has very hard-to-use forms.

Emailing back and forth with Dave Winer about respect and points of view on the web. The man simply doesn't get it, and insists he is always right. I'm tired of the whole issue and will make attempts to avoid him both online and off. He certainly is not a fan of open source software and will not be an ally in anything I do for the next few years.

So, my employer, Alphanumerica, was acquired last week by open source powerhouse Collab.Net. This is a very good thing, indeed since it thrusts me head-first into the world of open source software development. We've been working with Collab.Net since May on various open source projects. It appears they were impressed enough with our work that they decided to purchse the entire company and turn us into their East coast office instead of hiring us to do the bulk of their web site development work.

This also means that we'll be moving into a huge new space near Chelsea Piers in NYC. I'm excited about working on open source projects for companies like Sun, Oracle, and Indrema.

We recently launched the new sourceXchange.com site and the new collab.net web site. I was responsible for much of the HTML coding, the CSS, the information architecture, the information design, and the cross-platform usability testing.

Just checking this service out. Very interesting.
