I was telling someone on IRC about Twisted.names. He got around to asking me when I started it and I told him November. His response was "Of this year!?" Hooray, high level languages, hooray Python.

The entire process (of writing a DNS server) has been fun and educational. It's certainly easier than writing a MMORPG. It appears that my copious free time will soon be diminished though, due to the necessity to make money so that I can live. I hope to have most of the remaining loose ends wrapped up before I start working a regular job again, though.

Well, that was my first Advogato blog entry. I shall now go out to dinner with various members of my family. Happy holidays.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
