The comference was just fine... I met alot of interesting and resourceful people, talked about tech stuff and the next OzzFest and dEUS concerts and got to know some of the people that I respect alot from they're work, like Mario Gamito or Paulo Trezentos.

Some of the new stuff I have now to read and to re-write some of the stuff on eBeatrix is:

It's been a while :D... let's get this thing updated:

* eBeatrix will be presented at the 3rd Portuguese Comference of Linux Users, next 18th. I'm really excited for having a chance to show something interesting that I've doing for quite a while now. Anyway, there's also another invitation by the University of Evora for presenting there the same project. I'm thrilled :D

* I'm using now a changed version of blackbox, where the standard bar has been removed and, instead, it calls gnome's panel and gmc. It's fast and practical. Screenshot here.

* I finally bought a iBook, a month ago. Specs here . Screenshot here .

Me and sarahhave been collecting pink floyd videos, official ones and the Pulse concerts, and have bought yesterday the Wall (concert) DVD (half/half :)). If you have the Pulse concert, or just the song Comfortably Numb of those concerts, check the "there'll be no more !"#"#%!" part. It's orgasmatic!</a>

I've been awake for two days learning stuff. I'm so happy I got together with the right people, and I'm learning more stuff in a couple of days than I ever learnt in my life. The topics of learnt/searched for the last two days were:

- shadow passwords: manually creating and decrypting
- SSHd security related stuff
- Network programming (Doc: Beej's Network Programming)
- protocols with things, other than computers, via C programming

:: eBeatrix ::

The system can already look for another gateway, in case the one predefined is down. It can go through a list of gateways stated on a file.

The script to decode the emails to real actions is being recoded using C code. It's almost done :)

The project is now "co-sponsored" also by another "company", and will be released by two different sides, with two different codes, as I'm now developing it for two differente purposes. Details soon.

:: Casual Life Causes ::

There is a group of people that will start to get together frequently for computer investigation, at my house. It will start next sunday. As so, the network in my house is being re-thought and now there is an independent server/firewall, which is not used by noone. Port forwarding is one of the next things to study. I already got the pdf's and the apps :)
