Notes: Well... I have studies on Developing Computer Engineer for the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California Sur in Mèxico. At this moments I´m living in the city of La Paz in BCS, now i´m part of the Linux User Group of BCS and i have supported and promote free software and open source development from 1998 to this days. So of equal way i was participating in several congresses of technology and open source software.
At this moment one of my priorities is the Website of LUG and the creation of my own Linux Distribution. One of my goals is to be a Debian Developer & learn more about Mono Development.
Quotes:

The latest issue of Debian Weekly News is out: "Welcome to this year's 9th issue of DWN, the weekly newsletter for the Debian community. Harald Welte reported a 2.1 M pps (packets per second) UDP packet forwarding rate over four gigabit ethernet ports, which is a new record for Linux. After OASIS, of which Debian is a member, has accepted a patent policy that has bad consequences on implementation of the standards, John Goerzen called for support for an open letter." Other highlights: Debian release update, report from LinuxWorld, common release questions, AMD64 port status update, and the usual security updates. Read more in this week's issue of Debian Weekly News.

The second release candidate of Progeny Debian 2.0, Developer Edition, has been released: "We have just released Release Candidate 2 of Progeny Debian 2.0, Developer Edition. Some highlights: crashes in Anaconda that report problems with 'adbox' are now fixed; serial ATA is now supported.; the comp-get tool for managing components has been overhauled, and should work well, but because of the problems with the RC1 version of comp-get, people upgrading from RC1 are encouraged to use the upgrade instructions in the release notes; many updates from Debian sarge; the Eclipse and Tomcat components have been removed, as the versions available in Debian are old."

Linus Torvalds has just announced the availability of the newest Linux kernel release, 2.6.11. The newest addition to Linux that's stirring up some excitement is the inclusion of Infiniband support. You can get it from the usual mirrors at http://kernel.org/mirrors.
And the most interesting stuff is this!!!

Monoppix is a live CD Linux distribution based on Knoppix. Its main purpose is to showcase and spread the Mono technology, which is a free .NET framework implementation to Linux/UNIX operating systems. The CD includes Mono runtime environment, compiler and class libraries, Mono-enabled Integrated Development Environment, ASP.net web server, MySQL database, and Quickstarts and Mono tutorials. Monoppix 1.0 was released today: "What's new in this release: MySQL support, including the ByteFX ADO.NET managed provider (XSP sample included, uses compiled codebehind); XSP code runs in ramdisk, GTK# for desktop applications.
