so after some time of tweaking and re-tweaking, my wiki has stabilized to the place it is today. it's practically impossible, given the subject matter (adventure racing) and the targeted audience (people who spend a lot of time outdoors) to get those people to write anything, so I end up writing the content myself.
One of the pages actually got vandalized by a casino-based site. I was actually proud of my little wiki, it's reached a level at which people want to vandalize it!
so here I am, re-evaluating my decision to encapsulate my photo galleries into a JSP tag library. the hosting provider that I work with can do JSP, but the tomcat server isn't configured right, and everytime I upload a change to any JSP file, it kills the ability to serve JSP content... so I'm slowly heading toward the php horizon, 70% of my pages are now php, soon, I'll have the MySQL and php logic hammered out to display the galleries more effectively.
that's all for now. today is my wedding anniversary from last year! everything is great, she's the best, and we're planning on making to year two at least! ;)

later everyone. -brandon
