Well, so as you do not think I am dead, let's show what I am
hacking on right now.

Of course, the night after I told here 'come see my web
server', I suffer a hard drive failure on the said server...

It should be back in order now :-)

Well, back from the holidays at my parents'. Fortunately, I
had my iPAQ to do some Linux hacking :-) (I only used the
Win98 box to run the VNCViewer on it).

I did what I planned to do for a long time : rewrite my Book
database from C to Python. You can find the results here. The database is still
a bit slow as the Python script is stand-alone (ie not using
any mod_python) and is not pre-compiled (I execute directly
the .py, not a small .py that would import the big .pyc files).

BTW, I am using Mozilla 0.6 for two weeks now, and it
crashed less often than Netscape 4.x (but well, the UI is
still slow).

And, of course, Merry Christmas to everybody :-)

Ok, finished Monkey Island 3. It's the first game I entirely
played in Wine (from the install to the playing,
everything). So I now started Monkey 4 :-)

So see you in about two weeks when I will have finished it
for more hacking news :-)

Well, it's been a month now... Nothing new as I was 2 weeks
away for work (Chicago) and 2 weeks again for fun (in the
Carribeans, look at this <A

And I am currently playing Monkey Island 3 on Wine
before
taking on the 4th :-)

Found some time doing Wine stuff this week-end. First
reorganized a bit how DInput is written (it's not
yet the right way to do it, but well, it's cleaner than
before) and then stubbed DInput 7.0a.

A part from that, packed my stuff for my trip tomorrow :-)

Still nothing productive done lately... More fooling around
with my iPAQ, but no real progress (working on a graphical
interface to GnuGO optimized for a 320x240 display).

And it's not the next two weeks in Chicago and the two
following ones in the Caribbeans that will help things :-)
Hopefully I will have more time for hacking when I come back
in december.

Well, it's been a long time since I upgraded my log. Not
much Wine hacking lately (well, some small bug fixes and
improvements, but nothing major).

A part from that, broke completely the Apache install on my
server by trying to install Apache_SSL (still trying to find
out what's wrong) and bought an iPAQ.

Came back safely from Linux Kongress. As Marcus said, no
real constructive discussions on Wine (that is maybe because
no real agenda was set) but it was nice anyway to meet some
of the developpers face to face. Went to some interseting
talks, some less, but well, all in all, an interseting
experience.

As I will be again in Milan next week (any Advogato readers
there who wants to drink some beers with a lonely business
traveller who cannot speak a work of Italian can send me
some mail :-) ), I finished my XVideo patch this afternoon
(well, the weather was bad too, so it helped a bit).
