Older blog entries for baretta (starting at number 4)

phew... after sooooooooooooooooooooooo much work, MI 2.0 is out, with Conectiva Linux 6.0. That's why I've got my hands aching and haven't had time to post entries here nor to develop G.H.O.S.T. and seis. Afterall, I'm a jerk.

My right hand is aching... I think I got RSI (Repetitive Stress Injury).

Hehe, it's been a long time since the last diary entry :-) Well, let's go to the "cool" news:

I spent the Independence Day (sep. 7th) holiday at Guarda do Embaú, SC. What a beautiful beach! I found in a desert beach nearby 4 dead penguins. I wanted to bring them home and rebuild their skeletons, but I didn't find a way to carry them with me. All that I could do is bring two penguin heads. Now their are decaying is a small sand box, until only the bones are left. Cool! :-)

This week I got two new toys: a dual pentium(tm) 100MHz and a HP Netserver 4/100 DF (80486DX4 processor). Both have on-board SCSI adapters and flat cables to connect upto 7 devices plus a terminator (Yes, there's enough room in them). :-)

I've been very busy this month working on MI-2.0. New features include a new partitiong tool (using libparted), text interface and a redesigned graphical interface. Also, a much more powerfull kickstart-like configuration file, support for GRUB and XFree 4.0.

Cool! I was invited today to join a project to write a Visual Basic compiler/interpreter and an IDE for it. The project is in the very beggining, but fortunately Conectiva will be sponsoring it (at least I think Conectiva will). BTW, people@cnc has already started blaming me for "solding out my soul"... :-)

Yes, that's really me... So what? !? I'm really out of motivation to do anything, so maybe an ego inflation could help... :-)
