Wow. Has it really been a year and a half since I last did anything remotely concerning GNOME or Linux or Free Software? Seems hard to believe but I think it's true.

In the meantime I've been trying to graduate from college, working on music, using OS X, and toying with what I want to do once I actually do graduate this spring.

Still, I've started wanting to be involved again, and I have some stuff I want to work on that I'm planning on getting involved with as soon as I have some free time, which basically equals May or so, after school ends but before I have to go get a real job.

Ideas are percolating through my head. One of which is (shudder) a new method for installing software, similar in style to Mac OS 9, Mac OS X, and Rox Filer, but with some GNOME magic thrown in. I really want to start working on that.

Other then that, I have some ideas for a better task list, some usability improvements, and some other random stuff I've learned by using an Operating System that actually works for the past year or so.

Oh and someday I still want to write an NLE, and something like Logic, oh and become president and go to Mars. Yep.

ettore perazzoli was one of the most amazing people i've ever met. he was funny and kind and fun to be around and the world is now a worse place without him in it.

my favorite memory of him actually doesn't even have him in it. me, and nat, and someone else who i can't remember now went out for lunch one day, right before ettore was supposed to land in boston. during lunch nat told us that every time ettore came to visit the weather got horrible, and at the exact time that he was supposed to land the beautiful boston summer day got cloudy and it began to rain.

i spent the next two weeks living in a house with ettore and he was honestly one of the nicest and raddest people i've ever met.

perasalami we miss you already.
