I am a junior at the University of Maryland, and I work for a small software company in Tysons Corner, VA. I am a Linux/ppc developer and also a random kernel hacker. My personal fetish in the kernel is video drivers, I wrote the kernel S3 savage driver, co-wrote the nVidia Riva driver, and contributed to the ATI Rage128 and 3Dfx Voodoo drivers. I also am a member of XFree86. I wrote a little ftp log analyzer utility last year named flog, which I hope to be bringing up to date soon.

Been working on the S3 Savage4 XFree86 4.0 driver lately, and hopefully will finish it this weekend and push it off to the Savage3D and 2000 users to get some of their chipset support.

Yesterday I got some decent console acceleration for Riva framebuffer driver, so that looks positive. I'll probably wait until a 2.5 tree is cut before adding it though, I think its pretty late to add things to 2.3.
