Well it had to happen sooner or later, I have had my first real bad ebay experience.

I have had a few ripoffs on shipping, but finaly hit one where it was delayed, non-comunicative and finaly after 2 months I figure it is never going to turn up.
Not pleasent and not a cheap item either.

In other news, I'm getting my diary entry in a bit prompter than last time ;)

Playing with RFID, comunity WiFi and some other stuff. I would tell you more but that would spoil the surprise!

Forgive me world, it has been 18 months since my last diary entry.

What to say. Many things have happened.

Building whole computers within a single chip, works quite nicely and is fun that I would recomend to anyone with a vauge idea of what a soldering iron is ;)

Fincryp stuff continues to evolve, soon the world will be ready to embrace money in a different way.

The revolution will not be webcast.

My website molders in a corner of the net going years without updates, I am now almost nostalgic for how out of date it is.

I do not think there is anything else I can tell you

Back from holiday and having a major email address change, see my wiki page AndrewMcMeikan for more details. Main contact address is now andrewm@opendesign.cx

cya, Andrew...

Well have created my first sourceforge project, not exactly a Linux project but a hardware one. Building a ZX81 using an FPGA (or CPLD or other logic array device)
http://source forge.net/projects/zxgate/
so many things happening that diary is just not getting used, sorry folks!

my Website re-vamp is still delayed, hopefully another week or two and should be done.

Oh well back to the revolution...

Well after a long break, here is a quick update for the diary.

Work way too busy and mostly why so little posted in here ;)

The World way too depressing, probably only going to get worse.

Underground growing well, seems that there are quite a few who want a different world.

Financial crypto still real hard giving money away, who would have thought it? Now have over 50 golden agents throughout the world, the totally anonymous stuff seems a lot less in demand, this also seems against my expectations

cya, Andrew...

Well a slight outbreak of outlook vbs scripting had me emailless for a couple of days while the company went into paranoid mode, this just after two days of no web proxy. I get back to the net and find it has lost Douglas Adams, but my box under the desk has ticked over a year without a power failure...

set up a PersonalWiki over the Easter weekend, everyone should have on. Very usefull, I used PhpWiki

Still sucks that my certs on Advogato amount to nothing :(

Just an update.

CARS Picked up new car for the wife on Fri (AUS$20000 Nubira) she intends driving until she is bored with it then we will swap and I'll use it for work. Sold the Valiant on the weekend (AUS$650, still have spare motor auto gearbox and diff if anyone wants)

WORK A little on the quiet side, will get around to fixing all the spares up, couple of workshop jobs in.

PLAY I am rated as an observer, bit depressing, have not figured out why I got downgraded, still thinking of ideas as to how to implement a trustable distributed credit rating system. Getting rid of the Valiant has made some room in the garage so I'll do a bit of cleanup and hopefully get some electronics projects underway again.

Secret service types seem to be doing lots of raiding on e- gold types lately.

Tends to inspire nervousness...

It seems I am now downrated to a mere observer, is this a result of being certed by bad people? Or has an important cert been withdrawn?

It seems that messing around on badvogato has done my reputation some harm, a little distressing if thats the case.

lkcl looks like his trust code would win the reward I posted on badvogato if he cares to claim it (at this time the code was not up on sourceforge yet), but his article description seemed good.

If any trustable person could take the time to check me out and cert me up, I would appreciate it!
