I like technology, philosophy, history and art - not necessarily in that order. I battle with my cynicism though. From a programming perspective, I know some C but, for good or ill, have ended up loving Perl. My main interest is building on what the WWW has given us.
This is an interesting looking, or to be more precise, 'reading' site. I'm impressed by the quality of the discussion occurring so far (although I have only scraped the surface as yet).
It's a shame I cannot actually post a response just now (as far as I know) but I understand the danger of allowing a free-for-all. Although a forum like Slashdot still produces the odd gem of a post, it tends to sink under a very low signal to noise ratio nowadays.

New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
