I'm currently working in Configurable Hardware research at Edinburgh University's Computer Science Department where I combine my morbid facination with hardware with my classical training in Software Engineering. Over time, I've developed a bunch of tools to support my research. They're available as OSS tarballs if you'd like to download and have a play with them.

Of course, these are probably only of interest to 0.000000001% of the folks out here since they're all targeted at a wonderful little FPGA architecture called the XC6200. Hopefully, once I finish my thesis, I'll have time to work on some of the other random ideas that I have.

Hmmm... A diary... Haven't had one of these since I was a poetic teenager. Not much geek stuff to write up atm but guess this will hold as a trivia entry for the moment. I'd say something prophetic, but my caffine level is too low. For the moment I'll redirect you to Dougal's diary because he has far more spritely fingers when it comes to this sort of thing :)
