Whew!

Big demo at work out of the way. It's nice to be able to breathe again after six months of furious hacking and tweaking. Got to integrate two disparate satellite control systems using CORBA. It was actually a lot of fun. I still get a warm fuzzy feeling any time I see one process controlling stuff in another one. Maybe because of the huge battle to get the initial communications down when our company first started using Orbix three years ago. I much prefer our current choice of the Free orb, TAO. It Rocks(tm). CORBA is a *really* useful tool for distributed client/server applications. Cross-platform, language-agnostic, lots of other cool buzzwords. I can't praise it highly enough.
