Today, I went to Workforce Central, the new name of our local Unemployment Office, and requested any and all applications that they had for area companies. It seems a large number of local factories have you go to WC instead of the business to fill out an app.
God, I hope one of these gets me a job. Nothing else seems to be working out for me.
Recent bursts of insanity:
This should be relatively easy, right? Just take the existing .deb for ircd-dalnet and convert it? Not me. I have to make things difficult.
I want to make a few changes. It's not enough for me to have the existing ircd.conf. I want to not be required to enter certain information at compile time (hostname, services hostname, contact email/url, etc.). Do I know anything about C? Not yet...
I've never autoconfiscated anything before, and I know less of C++ than I do of C. However, I love the challenge...
Besides, I'm not familiar with dmake or tcsh.
For quite some time, in fact most of my life, I've been sitting around, watching everyone do what they do, perhaps adding a comment here or there, complaining an awful lot.... I've never really been one to write down whatever I'm doing, although I tend to repeat it over and over again to any poor soul who just happens to be lifeless enough to sit around and listen to me.
It's time for that to change.
I just hope I can keep up with the goals I give myself this time...
