Finally getting back into some development after doing pisante stuff like small scripts and ISAPI filters. :p I'm trying to make the transition to C++ from C, but it hasn't been easy. Two excellent books (C++ for C Programmers by Ira Pohl, ISBN 0-201-39519-3; as well as C++ Faqs, 2nd ed. by Cline, Lomow, Girou, ISBN 0-201-30983-1) are making the transition a little easier, however. My target is to be a handy C++ coder (as opposed to a ``warmed over C programmer using a C++ compiler'') within the next 3 months.
Due to a number of reasons, I do not think I have the time (and resources) to continue building a couple of sites. If anybody here would be interested in a dynamic news site, I hereby offer to transfer over for free and with no strings attached, the domains, code, and DB entries (with user table's e-mail addresses blanked out for privacy reasons) for www.kerneltrap.com, and www.codingstyle.com. I think I would much rather enjoy these two sites from the other side of the fence.

Traffic at www.kerneltrap.com continues to ramp up. I'm pleased with the progress so far. Actually, things look good for an interview with the good folks over at BSDi including the project manager for embedded systems and kernel products, as well as some of the developers there.
Actually, I'm asking the development community to help come up with some proposed questions for this interview, so if there's anything you'd like to ask them, please read the proposal and post your questions.
Last month, I set up a new community discussion site, www.kerneltrap.com which is a news and discussion portal devoted to low-level systems programming, embedded systems development, and OS kernel hacking. It is with this site that I plan on getting myself back into the hard-core dev world again.
I must say, I'm getting sick of just doing sysadmin work. If anybody is looking for a developer in Tokyo, Japan, I am an experienced C/C++/PHP programmer with Oracle and MySQL as well. I would LOVE to work on projects (especially open source) if they involve significant coding (and I'm not that interested in doing web stuff) especially of a low-level nature. I am especially interested in getting into embedded systems work but I haven't had any experience in that field.
New HTML Parser: The long-awaited libxml2 based HTML parser code is live. It needs further work but already handles most markup better than the original parser.
