Aug 06 Monday * up early - played a set with senthil, beat him for the first time. Was pretty pleased with myself but then he made me run all over the court, and now i am dead. * Pango markup tags seem to override themes. Tried several different things, none worked :(

The weekend : was fab, watched "Bend it like beckham" - pretty neat movie. Could watch it again. I normally - in fact never watch a movie the second time, except stuff like Top Gun, The English patient, Dead poets society or even Forest Gump.

Had a lovely meals at mom's place. She make lovely salads. She loves cooking and me and dad love that fact.

* Up a bit late. * Fixed the resize problem for mixer applet. * Cleaned up the menus in logview a bit and fixed a bug there. * heho - weeked is is here and off i go

Up early, run for 11 mins. Tried to fix the problem of scaling the pixbuf in the applet - got some help from Richard Hult, he was extremely helpful. It is very encouraging and nice.

Logged 4 bugs on logview.

Sorted out some of the accessibility bugs

Worked on trying to resize the applets in the panel - with change in panel size.

Ah how I want to work on logview ....

Visited Philip uncle in the hospital. God that seemed like a hotel suite.

Saw Panchatantram. Pretty hilarious!!

Reading the book ``Round Ireland with a Fridge''. A pretty foolhardy attempt to win a bet. The book has a lot of humor in all the madness with an extremely heavy healthy dose of optimism.

Saturday

I took Jothi to the doc and for a million other tests in the hospital. It was quite a sickening place. I had lunch with Nithin. We spent the afternoon chatting about all the school friends trying to find reasons why they all left Chennai for some Boston, California grass.

Up early ran for 11 mins

Mani presented me with Beatles album - "Live At The BBC". Some of the songs there were never published later. The album goes out to define themselves. Some of those songs are so good, inspite of the sound quality not being so great. What you hear on these BBC tapes is immediate, direct, and unselfconscious, a sense of how alive rock could be in the moment before the world caught on to what these four voracious fans were up to.

Pretty buggy day at work - my /build was all very messsed up and it took me 4 hrs to be able to build panel, only to put in 2 patches which fixs mnemonics.

Hopefully I shall watch a good moview this weekend.

Mac nearly threatened to crash my p.c., so after a long long time I finally wrote a cron job to take backups. Thanks Mac :) !!

Don't like writing diaries much. So all the more a challenge. If I survive till this month it would be great.

Submitted one patch, committed one & closed a bug.

Jothi started work today after a 3 weeks of vacation. Life is fabulous with a cook.

Back from a small vacation and I cant get myself to work.
