ISLAMIC STATE ANNOUNCES NEW PHONETIC ALPHABET FOR ITS HOLY WARRIORS

20 February 2015 / 1 Jumada al-awwal 1436 AH - The Caliphate of the Most Holy and Profound Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant has announced a new phonetic alphabet for accurate, error-free communications amongst its armed forces.

By using this new, carefully designed, alphabetic code ISIL fighters will be able to communicate clearly amongst themselves under difficult, noisy, battle conditions, while also being completely non-understandable at all by opposing unclean infidel enemy forces.

The existing but inferior NATO phonetic alphabet contains terms alluding to things not permitted for, despised by, and unavailable to ISIS's's Islamist jihadists, including forbidden dances, sports, alcohol, clothing, places they will never be able to visit again or indeed ever, and hotels with clean sheets, intact windows and no shell damage.

Using a different and better phonetic code removes these unending sources of reminders of unhallowed things while also reminding the mujahidereenish forces of infinite justice of what they are fighting for, said the Caliphate's spokesperson, M. Mohammed.

The new, improved, ILIS code is as follows:
LETTER NATO CODE IRIS CODE
A Alpha Allah
B Bravo Beheading
C Charlie Caliphate
D Delta Denounce
E Echo Extremist
F Foxtrot Fatwa
G Golf Gadaffi
H Hotel Harem
I India Infidel
J Juliet Jihadist
K Kilo Koran
L Lima Libya
M Mike Mohammed
N November Norks
O Oscar Osama
P Papa Peace
Q Quebec Qu'ran
R Romeo Ramadan
S Sierra Shakira
T Tango Taharat
U Uniform Unto
V Victor Virgin
W Whiskey Wajib
X X-ray there has never been such a letter
Y Yankee You
Z Zulu Zepher

Mohammed M. Mohammed (yes, this is correct -- we asked him and he spelt it using the IBIS code), spokesman for the "Unending Revolution of Glory -- well, until the forthcoming Apocalypse," explained that using the language of one's enemies in any way was effectively starting from a position of defeat, so this ISIB code was "still a work in progress".

"We thought about using Rajab for R, but that is the month when fighting is forbidden, and so would introduce the cognitive dissonance that we are trying to avoid. Ramadan and the rewards of self-sacrifice are worth stressing - that is why we uses 'harem' for the eternal rewards, rather than 'halal,' which applies to our rations, when we have them. And having something short for N is a good contrast with the longer multi-syllable term Mohammed for clear messaging of those letters," said Mohammed.

"We combine this with a cyber cipher code of our own devising that we use when transcribing messages. As long as we don't repeat phrases, such as 'PBUH' or 'Death to Infidels,' too often, our binhex sequence will remain unbreakable," explained Mohammed M. Mohammed.

"We have our absolutely best men on this, and they have an almost-continuous supply of pencils and paper," added M. Mohammed M. M. Mohammed of IFIS.
